RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE IN INTERACTIVE MEDIA PRODUCTION™

DEVELOPER SPOTLIGHT: Gina Menario -Webpage FX / “Victor Made in the USA”

First and foremost, the Horizon Interactive Awards would like to congratulate Webpage FX on their 2011 Best of Category win with the Consumer Information web site “Victor Made in the USA.”  In this developer spotlight, we will learn more about the project and the producers of this award winning site.

Webpage FX, thank you for taking the time to talk with us!

WEBPAGEFX: You’re welcome! Thank you for the opportunity!

HIA: So tell us a little about your company.  Specifically, what types of work you regularly produce, industries, solutions, how you got into the business, etc.

WEBPAGEFX: Sure! WebpageFX is a full-service Internet marketing company offering innovative web marketing solutions to mid- to large-size companies across the globe. As a leader in SEO, web design, ecommerce, website conversion and Internet marketing services, we pride ourselves on developing integrated and unique online campaigns to drive traffic, convert visitors and measure effectiveness while delivering positive ROIs for our clients.

William Craig, President of WebpageFX, started the company over 10 years ago. With over 16 years of experience in the Internet marketing industry, William grew WebpageFX from 1 employee to over 35 talented team members in just three years, doubling sales each year. Under William’s leadership, WebpageFX was named by Inc. Magazine as one of the 5000 fastest growing companies in the US in 2012.

HIA: Can you give us a background of the project, “Victor Made in the USA,” and tell us a little about the overall objectives, creative inspiration, background, etc.

WEBPAGEFX: Absolutely! Victor® Pest approached WebpageFX looking to accomplish two major goals. The first was to increase awareness among customers and potential customers that Victor® products are Made in the USA, a more unique selling point as many manufacturers offshore operations. The second goal was to significantly increase the number of emails on the company’s email marketing subscriber list.

HIA: Based on the project objectives, was it successful and why?

WEBPAGEFX: Definitely! The project was an overwhelming success with over 700,000 page views and well over 10,000 new email subscribers for the client’s database over the course of 4 months. The overall success of the campaign in 2011 gave way to new ideas for 2012, so we are currently running the sweepstakes for a second year with similar goals.

HIA: Where do you see web site design and development going in the coming years?

WEBPAGEFX: In one word? Mobile. As technology advances with more robust smart phones and tablets, internet users are increasingly gathering and consuming information right from the palm of their hands. We expect this trend to continue, making it necessary for companies to not only have a mobile presence, but market on a mobile level.

HIA: So, where do you/your team turn for inspiration?

WEBPAGEFX: We have a great team of driven individuals with diverse backgrounds and specialties here at WebpageFX, so we’re always striving to learn more to stay on the cutting edge in our industry. Sources of inspiration come in many forms across our variety of services but inspiration comes from sites like The Best Designs, cssmania, site inspire, and Smashing Magazine, to name a few.

HIA: What does it mean to win the Horizon Interactive Award?

WEBPAGEFX: We were honored to be awarded the Best in Category award from Horizon Interactive this year. We think it reflects well on the work we do as a company, especially because this microsite really pulled together each of our disciplines –web strategy, web design, Internet marketing, online public relations and social media. It really brought it all together; so for this one to be chosen as best in category is especially exciting for us.

Thank you again for taking the time to be a part of our developer spotlight.  We have enjoyed sharing more information about the great work you all produce and look forward to having you back in the 2012 competition. Best of luck to you now and down the road!
